Join us Sunday, February 26th from 1-3 PM for our free event, “The Underground Railroad: from Harriet Tubman to Waverly”. She escaped slavery, but returned, again and again, to lead more than 70 others to freedom via the Underground Railroad.
Join the Comm and WVIA for a brief talk on Waverly’s connection to the Underground Railroad by Destination Freedom Coordinator, EJ Murphy, followed by a screening of the documentary, Harriet Tubman: Vision of Freedom, by acclaimed filmmaker Stanley Nelson.
