Special Guest Speaker – Award Winning Producer – Doug Claybourne
We have an incredible lineup for the 2024 Northeast Pennsylvania Film Festival at the Waverly Community House on April 12th—14th, 2024. The three-day event occurs exclusively at the Comm and kicks off Friday evening, April 12th, at 6:00 PM.

The Northeast Pennsylvania Film Festival Opening Night Reception will be an evening with Acclaimed Director Doug Claybourne. The event will feature a Cocktail Hour from 6:00-7:00 PM, followed by a screening of Doug’s latest work, “The Rainbow Prince.” A Q&A with WVIA’s Julie Sidoni will follow. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres served courtesy of Maioletessi Wine Cellars, Caravia, and Epicurean.
Doug Claybourne served in roles as 1st Assistant Director, Producer, and Executive Producer on many Academy Award-winning and nominated films by talented artists, including The Black Stallion directed by Carroll Ballard (two Academy Award Nominations, one award for Sound), Rumble Fish, directed by Francis Coppola, Peggy Sue Got Married directed by Francis Coppola, (three Academy Award Nominations), The Serpent and the Rainbow directed by Wes Craven, Ernest Saves Christmas directed by John Cherry, The War of the Roses directed by Danny DeVito, Mighty Ducks 2 directed by Sam Weisman, The Fast and the Furious directed by Rob Cohen, The Mask of Zorro directed by Martin Campbell (two Academy Award Nominations), North Country directed by Niki Caro (two Academy Award Nominations), and The Nights in Rodanthe directed by George C. Wolfe.
