Renée Emanuel, a native of Northeast Pennsylvania, earned her MFA in Painting from Marywood University. Her vibrant works—created in acrylic, watercolor, and casein—reflect a deep connection to the natural world and to still life compositions that suggest an intimate, interior landscape. Renée has received numerous accolades, including recognition in The Best of America: Watercolor Artists and Artisans, and is a signature member of both the National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic and the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society. Her artwork has been featured in the publications Watercolor Expressions and The Best of Acrylic Painting, and highlighted in Country Living Magazine in an article titled “Cherished Objects.” She has received honors in The Best of Pennsylvania Artists and Artisans and was featured in the “Small Works, North America” exhibition in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Renée has exhibited in numerous group shows, including City Light at the Melberger Art Center in Scranton, PA, and An Intimate Landscape at the Butternut Gallery in Montrose, PA. Her work has also been selected for the Art of the Land and Flocks and Feathers exhibitions at the Everhart Museum in Scranton. In 2025, she was invited to serve on the jury of selection for the National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic.
For six years, Renée served as co-director of ArtWorks Gallery and Studio alongside her husband, artist Bill Teitsworth. Together with director Gloria Lance and coordinator Nicole Sawicki, they developed the gallery’s physical space, educational programming, and exhibition calendar. Now a full-time artist, Renée teaches year-round watercolor and acrylic classes at their studio in Moscow, Pennsylvania, and co-leads plein-air workshops in Rockland, Maine with Bill. Due to the growing popularity of these programs, they have been invited to lead additional workshops in western Pennsylvania and Florida.
The Gallery is open for viewing Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or by appointment.
